The five lakes tour

This tour starts in Niedernsill and leads over pass Thurn towards Kitzbühl and then St Johan and Waidach to Walchsee. We turn right towards Aschau and drive over Marquartstein on the Deutschen Alpenstrasse to Bad Reichenhall.

The route continues via Salzburg into the beautiful  Salzkammergut, past Fuschlsee and Wolfgangsee to Bad Ischl.

From there the tour continues past Bad Goisern to Steg on the Hallstattersee.  Hallstatt is worth a short detour because of its unique setting and history which extends over 5000 years.

After that we ride over Pass Gschütt through Abtenau, Golling und Bischofshofen back to our starting  point.

This tour rewards us with scenery, highlights and surprises that only the foothills of the alps can offer.

The Crystal tour

The Crystal tour leads you from Niedernsill through Mittersill to Neukirchen where each year the “Tridays” take place ( a large Norton motorcycle rally). From here it is worth taking a little detour up the Rossberg mountain, which offers a ride full of curves and a wonderful view of the Salzach valley. A litter further on you will come to Krimmel which boasts Europes highest waterfall, where you will find a water theme park that is also worth a stop.  The route then takes you via the Gerlos Alpenstraße  over the pass (1,531 m), which is the most beautiful link between Salzburg county and Tirol, with many viewpoints along the way. The route continues to Zell am Ziller and via  Jenbach to Wattens to the Swarovsky World of Crystals, (created by Andre Heller).

The route back goes via Jenbach to Wörgl and over an exciting route to Hopfgarten  and Kitzbühel, then over PassThurn (1,274m) and home to Niedernsill.

Kaiser Franz Josefs Tour

From Niedernsill towards Zell am See to Bruck an der Glocknerstraße, where you will find the most famous Alpine road in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park that leads you to Austrias highest mountain , the Grossglockner with the Pasterze glacier. From here you travel onwards to Heiligenblut over  Iselsberg towards Lienz till Huben. Here you can detour  up the access road to Lucknerhaus where you get a magnificient view of the back of the Grossglockner. The way back leads you via the Felbertauern to Mittersill and back to Niedernsill.

The Kärntner madness tour

If you like a curvy road, you’ll love this. You start in Niedernsill towards Zell am See, then  Saalfelden and on to Maria Alm. You then go over the Dientner Sattel to Mühlbach am Hochkönig where a short ride up to Arthurhaus offers your first highlight.  From Bischofshofen we ride towards Werfen and then turn right into Fritztal via Hüttau, Eben, Radstadt, then over the Tauernpass to Mauterndorf. After that you continue over the Katschberghöhe to St Michael and towards Rennweg to Kremsbrücke. The second highlight  of this tour is the Nockalmstraße,  fantastic views and curves to make you swoon.

Your trip will take you onwards to Gmünd in Kärnten towards Spittal an der Drau and then Obervellach. Here you have to make a choice whether you travel on to Lienz and home via the Felbertauern, or whether you still have the strength for the third highlight, the Grossglockner alpine road which leads you back to Niedernsill.
